I tried to watch something on ITV while I was travelling and just got blocked with barely any useful explanation. I understand there are rights restrictions and all that, but the way it’s handled is really frustrating. It just feels like a hard no, with no clear info on what you’re supposed to do next. Even logging in didn’t make any difference. it felt like they made it my problem to figure out, and by the time I’d clicked around trying, I’d already wasted enough time.

"Decent, but a bit clunky"
It’s fine for catching up on stuff, but the app does freeze here and there. The menus also feel kind of awkward to get around, like they could be... I don’t know, smoother. It’s not a terrible app or anything, just feels like it needs a little polishing.
"Helpful sign-in error that actually made sense"
I had a bit of trouble signing in on ITV, but what I really appreciated was that the error message actually explained what the problem was instead of throwing up some random code. To me, that makes a big difference because I didn’t have to sit there guessing or searching around for answers. I fixed it quickly and got straight back to watching. It might seem like a small thing, but so many sites make this kind of stuff way more frustrating than it needs to be. Simple, clear, and helpful. 5 stars from me.

They charged me twice, and getting the refund sorted took forever. I get that mistakes happen, but waiting that long for my money back was really frustrating. It’s not like it was a huge complicated issue or anything, more like...

I use itv most evenings on my laptop, and it’s been smooth. I’ve always felt like people exaggerate streaming issues a bit, and this kind of confirms that for me because it just plays without freezing. Even the ads load properly, which is more than I expected. No major complaints from my side.

"Solid privacy controls, just a little tucked away"
I use ITV every so often, and I’ve found the privacy settings straightforward overall. The cookie options are easy enough to spot, and I definitely like that you can go back and change your choices later instead of being stuck with whatever you picked on the first pop-up.
The only thing I’d say is that a few of the menus feel a bit buried, so you might have to click around for a minute. Still, compared with a lot of other sites, it feels like they give you decent control over your data.

"Search results are way off"
The search on ITV is frustrating. I’ll type in the exact name of a show and somehow still get random clips or old episodes instead of what I’m actually looking for. Half the time I end up giving up and using Google to find it. It really shouldn’t be this difficult, and I’d expect at least an apology for how poor the experience is.

Am I missing something here? The picture keeps going blurry and then just stops completely. It’s really annoying, especially when I’m trying to watch something without constant interruptions.

"Recommendations don’t really match what I watch"
I use itv mainly to watch a few shows, and that part works fine enough. The issue for me is the recommendations. After using it for a while, I’d expect it to pick up on what I actually watch, but it keeps suggesting things I have no interest in. It’s not a terrible site or anything, but from my experience, the recommendation section just isn’t very useful and gets a bit annoying.

Resume watching on itv.com is a bit all over the place for me. Sometimes it puts me like 10 minutes before where I stopped, other times it jumps near the end, which makes no sense because I definitely didn’t watch that far, or at least I don’t think I did.
It’s not totally unusable, and I still watch stuff on there, but it gets irritating quickly when you just want to carry on with a show and end up dragging the bar around and sitting through ads again. Feels like one of those basic things that should just work.

"Unhelpful support and endless canned apologies"
I had an issue with my account and tried to get help, but the customer support was useless. It took ages to get a reply, and when someone finally did respond, it felt like they hadn’t even read what I wrote. Just the usual canned apology and no actual fix. My account problem still isn’t sorted, so overall it’s been a really frustrating experience with ITV.

"Works well across my devices"
I’ve been using itv.com on my laptop, phone, and sometimes my iPad, and it’s been smooth. Videos load quickly, and I like that I can start watching on the TV and pick it back up in bed without any hassle. Logging in hasn’t caused me any problems either. Overall, it does exactly what I need and I’m happy with it

"Smooth live TV streaming"
I watched live TV on itv last night it did a solid job. It ran smoothly the whole time, with no freezing or annoying delays, and the picture was clear enough for casual watching. For what it is, I’d say it’s decent and I was happy with the experience.

The navigation is fine. Nothing groundbreaking, obviously, we’re not reinventing maps here—but it gets you where you need to go without making you question your life choices.

I went on itv.com and the cookie pop-up was actually straightforward, which was a nice surprise. I didn’t have to dig around or click through loads of confusing buttons just to manage it.
I could pick what I wanted and get back to watching without any hassle. It felt "simple" and not annoying like it can be on some other sites, so overall it was a good experience.

The email settings seem to work for the most part, but I’m still getting some ITV promo emails here and there. Not a huge deal, just kind of annoying

I don’t usually complain about stuff like this, but the accessibility feels poor. I tried to give it a fair chance and adjust things where I could, but it still felt harder to use than it should have been. Maybe it works fine for some people, but for me it was frustrating enough that I feel like it’s worth pointing out.

"The age check really put me off"
In my experience, trying to watch something on ITVX turned into a bit of a hassle because of the age verification. It wouldn’t accept my details and just kept sending me round in circles. I found it really frustrating and ended up giving up altogether.
